The overview page was previously called activities, and has received a major face-lift, both regarding looks and functionality. This page could also have been called 'dashboard', as it's your main view into all your projects and tasks. It contains your most critical tasks, your most recent tasks, a log of activities from the projects you participate in, and progress bars showing the status of the same projects.
This page initially shows all task and issues you have access to, but can be filtered down to what you want by changing the filtering options at the top. Once you have a filter you're happy with, you can save it as a view by clicking the 'save as view' link.
Each task line shows a checkbox for toggling task completion, a clock icon for working on the task, and most other relevant information. Mouse over the task name to see the description as a tooltip, and click it to go to the edit page for the task.
By clicking the Group Tags checkbox, tasks will be grouped by the tags you give them. This looks the most like the old interface but I personally find the non grouped option easiest to work with, as it is sorted on severity, priority and due dates on a global scale.
This page is used both to edit information about a task, allowing you to specify all attributes and select who should be notified via email of changes to it.
When you enter some text or a task number (#123) into the search box in the top menu, something like this will be the result. This works just like the other pages, meaning you can edit, complete and work from here as well as the other pages.
A long history of what's been done and changed by who. Reworking the interface of this page is on my to do list.
Often you need to report to either management or a client how much time has been spent doing what, and this page lets you generate those reports quite easily. The next version of ClockingIT will allow you to export these reports to a CSV file, as well as include some more report types.
